Our Classes
Guadalupe Center’s Adult Education program offers a comprehensive range of educational opportunities for adults seeking to enhance their skills and career prospects. The program encompasses several key components, including the English Language Learners (ELL) Program, the Arrob@s Digital Career Pathways Program,Vocational Job Training in partnership with KC Scholars, and the Digital Skills Program. Participants receive extensive one-on-one support, skills-building workshops, and guidance from workforce coaches.
Whether you’re looking to improve your English, pursue a digital career, receive vocational training, or boost your digital literacy, Guadalupe Center’s Adult Education program offers a wide range of opportunities to help you achieve your goals.
Our ELL classes aim to assist non-native English speakers in communicating fluently and effectively in the language. Our instruction is highly personalized, using digital assessment data and conversation labs to provide fundamental skills required for mastering English. Our program covers reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and it is tailored to meet the needs of non-English-speaking individuals.
Guadalupe Center’s Adult Education program offers four 12-week sessions of ELL classes per year. The first 2 weeks cover Digital Literacy and computer familiarity; the following 10 weeks are the ELL Curriculum program. Our program provides extensive one-on-one support, supplemental skills-building workshops, and wrap-around services via our workforce coaches. Our program is open for learners 18 years of age and older.
Sessions run as follows:
First session: October – December 2023
Second Session: February – April 2024
Third Session: June – August 2024

KC Scholars now provides adult learners tuition assistance for approved job training programs in high-paying and high-demand industries. With the support of Great Jobs KC, adults 17+ can learn faster, develop the skills needed to earn between $45,000-$85,000 annually and begin a fulfilling career in one year or less. Guadalupe Centers Digital Skills Program is open to the community and is a free learning resource designed to help all adult learners develop the digital skills needed to achieve their personal, civic, educational, and career goals.

Our Mobile Computer lab is used by our Digital Skills Programs, English Language Learners, Arrob@s: Digital Career Pathways, and our Workforce Program. Our Mobile Computer Lab was designed so that our mobile lab can reach individuals, and family members all over the community: city parks, community rooms, gymnasiums, schools, and a variety of other places. We plan to offer: basic computer skills, basic internet searching, basic Windows, resume assistance, and online job searching. Community members will learn everything from how to use a mouse to how to create a resume.
