Workforce Development & Adult Education

As a program participant, you will engage with our Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) where we assist low-income families in stabilizing their long-term financial perspective by providing basic services through three areas: employment coaching and career improvement, financial coaching and training, and access to public benefits. These basic services are integrated and provided together to clients in order to reinforce each other and to provide a multi-faceted approach to building income and wealth. Our Workforce Coaches will work together with you to help you determine your employment and educational goals and what steps can be taken to help you reach them. Our programs empower individuals to explore career pathways and set short and long-term career goals, build a resume, practice interview skills, and network with employer partners.

Our ELL classes aim to assist non-native English speakers in communicating fluently and effectively in the language. Our instruction is highly personalized, using digital assessment data and conversation labs to provide fundamental skills required for mastering English. Our program covers reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and it is tailored to meet the needs of non-English-speaking individuals.

Guadalupe Center’s Adult Education program offers four 12-week sessions of ELL classes per year. The first 2 weeks cover Digital Literacy and computer familiarity; the following 10 weeks are the ELL Curriculum program. Our program provides extensive one-on-one support, supplemental skills-building workshops, and wrap-around services via our workforce coaches. Our program is open for learners 18 years of age and older.
