"To me, being a part of the mission means doing my best to be the best resource possible for the Latino community."
Behind La Misión – Empowering Through Education
The Guadalupe Centers (GCI) Workforce Development Program is one of our fastest-growing initiatives, and much of this success is thanks to dedicated team members like Chase, our Bilingual Workforce Coach and English Language Learner (ELL) Instructor. Since joining the GCI team in October 2024, Chase has made a significant impact by teaching English to the Latino community and helping them navigate the “unknown” with confidence and understanding. His lessons range from basic English to essential conversations, empowering individuals to communicate effectively in everyday life.
Reflecting on his journey, Chase shared, “I like having the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives. I like seeing their faces when something in the class clicks. On the Workforce side, it’s the same when my clients have a breakthrough, it’s written all over their faces.”
Chase’s fluency in Spanish, which he honed by practicing with his partner’s family, plays a key role in his work. “To me, being a part of the mission means doing my best to be the best resource possible for the Latino community. Offering everything I learned in a way that’ll actually help them. Teaching them what they really need, not what I think they need.”
Beyond his passion for educating and uplifting others, Chase enjoys reading and hiking in his free time. If given the chance, he would love to live in France for a year, drawn to the country’s quality of life, historical landmarks, and the joy of strolling through its vibrant cities.
Thank you, Chase, for your hard work and unwavering dedication to embodying the GCI mission!
