“Maria” new to the Senior program was needing an outlet. She rarely got to leave her home since she was the caretaker for her mentally disabled daughter. “Maria” started coming weekly once or twice at first, then daily. Maria asked if she was able to bring her daughter “Veronica” to the center. Her daughter suffers from a condition called Psychotic Disorder. She is fearful and shy. Both mother and daughter now attend the Senior Program at the Guadalupe Center, “Veronica” has been more out-going, talkative, participates in the daily activities and enjoys spending time with other participants.
