Professional School Counselors hold responsibility to fully implement their Comprehensive Guidance Program addressing the academic, personal/social, and career development of all students through the delivery of guidance curriculum, individual planning, and responsive services along with system support activities. They are the primary school mental health providers as they deliver services to all students and families in every school as well as serve as the point of contact for Social Work and School Psychological Services. The Guadalupe Centers has been around since 1919, it is the oldest serving agency of its kind in the U.S. It consists of many different programs and locations serving the community in the areas of Health and Social Services, Education, Youth Recreation, Cultural Events, Catering Services, Summer and After-School Programs. The mission of the Guadalupe Centers is to improve the quality of life for individuals in the Latino communities of greater Kansas City.
Guadalupe Centers through its subsidiary Guadalupe Educational Systems (GES), is the proud home of Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools.
