The Guadalupe Centers has been around since 1919, it is the oldest serving agency of its kind in the U.S. It consists of many different programs and locations serving the community in the areas of Health and Social Services, Education, Youth Recreation, Cultural Events, Catering Services, Summer and After-School Programs. The mission of the Guadalupe Centers is to improve the quality of life for individuals in the Latino communities of greater Kansas City.

Guadalupe Centers through its subsidiary Guadalupe Educational Systems, is the proud home of Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools. Guadalupe Centers (GC) Charter Schools are a free, open enrollment, public charter school currently serving students in grades Pre-K and K–12 under the sponsorship of the University of Central Missouri. Participate on program planning committees and parent involvement activities. Attend Professional Development sessions when required. Implement individual and group activities to stimulate growth as outlined in the IEP. Instruct children in practice of daily living skills as appropriate. Remain with student for support during all times outside of the Special Education classroom as assigned. Provide short-term classroom coverage when teacher must leave the room but remains within the building.

GES PreK - 12th Grades Special Education Teacher

Prepares and schedules individual student staffing conferences according to timelines; initiates IEP conferences as appropriate Write IEPs using district software (Sped Track) Complete all necessary paperwork to be in compliance with the state and district. Prepares and submits reports according to timelines outlined in the Missouri State plan; responds to requests for information as required. Prepare Transition Plans for secondary students. Identifies the specific learning needs of each student properly identified as disabled and maintains a clear record of the student’s instructional experience and progress in the permanent Special Education file. Plans and utilizes instructional materials, procedures and equipment according to each student’s specific disability.

GES Part-Time High School Head Cheerleading Coach

  • A Four-Year College Degree OR SeNing as an Approved Assistant Coach (3.1 .4.b) (non­Hardship Coach) for a minimum of TWO school years.
  • A Professional Teacher’s Certificate OR NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Course (online) passed prior to coaching. This course is not sport-specific. This is a one-time requirement.
  • Successful completion of a Sports First Aid course prior to coaching and renewed every two years. (See options in Diagram 3.1)
  • Successful completion of CPR/AED training prior to coaching and renewed every two years. (See options in Diagram 3.1)
  • Background Check including Sex-Offender’s Registry Clearance prior to coaching.
  • Board of Education or Board of Governance Approval prior to coaching.
  • Successful completion of a Concussion in Sports Course, and review of current concussion information yearly.
  • Successful completion of the MSHSAA Sport-Specific Online Rules Review each season.
  • Minimum of 3 years coaching experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years coaching or dance teaching experience preferred.
